Giggs, who made her debut with Manchester United in March 1991, has scored a record 898 games and saved following the 162 goals.
"When I signed my first contract, I was not expecting to play at Manchester United for 22 years,'' Giggs said as quoted by Four Four Two, Friday (10/2).'' But I am happy to contribute to the team. I am proud become part of the winning team.''
Along with Giggs, Manchester United has won the league 12 times, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions League medals. Although no longer a starter, Giggs remains key to the game. Giggs is the only player who scored in every season.
"Ryan is a tremendous player," said Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. "He is adapting to change. He was hungry for success."
